Lots of Challenges

Me and my Paint Shop program have been busy lately, trying to complete all the April challenges at digidesignresort.com. I caught them just in time.

There were 12 in all… I think I already posted 2 or 3 of them last time.

This was for the element challenge… requirement was to use lots of curves.

Color challenge — we had to use a particular palette of colors.

I made this for the font challenge. We were given a new font (fontastique) with which to do titles or journaling.  Although using pictures of myself is somewhat narcissistic, I do like the ones when I was a little girl.

The Mix-it-up challenge: use papers/elements from 3 different kits never used before.

I like the recipe challenges like this one. The layout has to be made using a digital “recipe” — i.e., 1 solid paper, 1 pattern paper, 3 flowers, etc.

April storytelling challenge; we had to write at least a bit of journaling starting with the words “Just because.” This is a picture of my best friend Kellye.

Template challenge: we were given a template to interpret using our own papers, elements, etc. This is for my little sister Shelley.

For this challenge, we were given a mini-kit and were required to use everything in the kit and nothing else (except for pictures).

Finally, this wordart challenge, in which we were supposed to scrap a conversation, was a lot of fun. I can remember so many conversations like this one — basically, whenever we went somewhere in a car!

Ramses the Great

Erin’s friend Sarah has the cutest cat named Ramses. He is a Sphinx cat, which means that he has no fur.  It’s a little odd at first, but he’s sweet and I quickly became accustomed to his appearance! The kit I used here is “Cool Cat” by Denise Liemert; it can be purchased for a very low cost at Digitals.

Bits O’Scrap “Sun-kissed”

I love this kit from Tina at Bits O’Scrap! The colors are beautiful and can be used for spring or summer layouts. I did something a little different this time, using photos from our trip to Europe to make the layout.

There may be a QP coming up on the Bits O’Scrap CT blog, so keep your eyes open!

Bits O’ Scrap “In My Garden”

*EDIT below*

Here is the layout I made from the kit “In My Garden” by Bits O’ Scrap:

Gregory is my grandson and so cute! I’m not biased at all, lol. He’s the cutest thing around and he just turned two. My daughter and I went to his birthday party and boy was he a little powerhouse!

I’m working on a QP which will appear on the Bits O’ Scrap blog (see right). In the meantime, check it out!

Later today I used a template by Andrea Gold to create this layout:

Go Navy!

Template Layout

I made this layout using a freebie template from Midnight Scrapping.  I think it’s really pretty!

I used the template as-is rather than adding anything because I think it’s great by itself!

Back at last!

I’ve been away for the last three weeks and I’m very happy to be back at my computer! One of the first things I did was to make a new layout featuring the lovely roses I received. This LO is a little different — very busy.  This kit comes from Bits’N’Bobs and Artmama, and it’s called “A Stalker Valentine.”

I made a “minimalist” LO as well, using a kit made by Ana Nogueira.

Quote Challenge Layout

Today I made a new layout for the DigiScrap Obsession April Quote Challenge. The phrase is “One Fine Day” and I chose photos from a day at Six Flags. I used elements and paper from the GDS March collab kit, including Marshmella Designs, One Memory at a Time, JJscrapping, Christy Skaggs, and Majula Designs.

May Calendar and Color Challenge

This morning I made a calendar page for May (I’m trying to stay at least a month ahead!) and an entry for the DSO (Digital Scrapbook Obsession) April Color Challenge.  I’m not familiar with how to use these colors; I tend towards pastels. So I’m not thoroughly happy with how it turned out, although it’s nice to have pictures of Midnight!
